Job summary

Isgec Heavy Engineering Ltd. in India seeks an Inspection Engineer to lead stage-wise inspection of pressure vessels and fabricated components, ensuring compliance with drawings, quality, inspection and applicable code/standards.

You will review WPS/PQR, coordinate NDT activities (UT, RT, DP, MPI), and liaise with Production, Welding, NDT and Quality teams to resolve issues and prepare inspection documentation for customer or third-party inspection.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/BTech in mechanical engineering.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in pressure vessel inspection, fabrication, welding and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Carry out stage-wise inspection of pressure vessels and fabricated components.
• Inspect raw materials, fit-up, welding, dimensions and final fabrication as per drawings and specifications.
• Review and verify WPS/PQR, welder qualification and welding parameters.
• Coordinate and monitor NDT activities such as UT, RT, DP and MPI.
• Ensure compliance with ASME/IBR/customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Check inspection reports, material certificates, welding records and other quality documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, Welding, NDT and Quality teams for timely resolution of inspection issues.
• Identify quality deviations and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct final inspection and ensure readiness for customer/third-party inspection.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare relevant quality documentation.

About the Role
