Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Inside Sales role based in Mumbai. The Inside Sales Executive will be responsible for supporting the sales process for Sugatsune Indias industrial hardware products by handling customer enquiries, qualifying leads, preparing quotations, following up with prospects, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing. The role involves working closely with OEMs, manufacturers, distributors, and key industrial accounts to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable Sugatsune solutions. The Inside Sales Executive will manage sales enquiries from initial contact through order closure, maintain accurate customer and pipeline records, and ensure timely follow-ups. The role will also involve coordinating with the technical, engineering, warehouse, logistics, and finance teams to provide accurate product information, pricing, availability, and delivery updates. The candidate will contribute to lead generation, customer relationship management, sales reporting, and market feedback, while supporting the sales team during customer visits, exhibitions, and industry events when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in Inside Sales, B2B Sales, Industrial Sales, or Customer Sales Support; experience with industrial products, hardware, components, or OEM customers is an advantage.
- Strong lead qualification, sales follow-up, quotation preparation, and order coordination skills.
- Good understanding of the B2B sales cycle, including enquiry handling, prospecting, follow-ups, negotiation, and order closure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, distributors, OEMs, and internal teams.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or coordinate with the technical team for suitable solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, CRM tools, email communication, and sales reporting.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and follow-ups simultaneously.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Sales, Engineering, Warehouse, Logistics, and Finance teams.
- Willingness to support customer visits, exhibitions, industry events, and occasional travel when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming sales enquiries through email, phone, website, and other channels.
- Qualify leads and identify potential OEM, industrial, and B2B customers.
- Prepare and share quotations, product information, pricing, and availability with customers.
- Follow up with prospects and existing customers to drive enquiries toward order closure.
- Maintain and update customer information, sales activities, and opportunities in the CRM.
- Coordinate with internal teams for product specifications, stock availability, pricing, delivery schedules, and order status.
- Support the sales team in managing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities.
- Maintain regular communication with customers and provide timely responses to queries.
- Track open quotations, pending orders, samples, and customer requirements.
- Prepare sales reports, pipeline updates, and follow-up reports for management.
- Gather customer and market feedback and communicate relevant insights to the sales and product teams.
- Support trade exhibitions, customer meetings, product demonstrations, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, OEMs, and other industrial stakeholders.
