An Infection Control Nurse is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of infection-prevention and control practices across the healthcare facility. The conducts surveillance, staff education, audits, infection-control monitoring, and coordination with clinical departments.

  • Implement and monitor infection-prevention and control policies.
  • Conduct healthcare-associated infection surveillance.
  • Monitor infection trends and prepare infection-control reports.
  • Conduct infection-control rounds and departmental audits.
  • Monitor hand hygiene and standard precaution compliance.
  • Support appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
  • Monitor isolation and transmission-based precautions.
  • Coordinate with clinical departments regarding infection-control concerns.
  • Support investigation of suspected infection outbreaks.
  • Assist in identifying infection risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor sterilization, disinfection, and environmental hygiene practices.
