Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, International Business, Logistics or related field.
• 5–7+ years in international trade, shipping or customs brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS and customs clearance rules.
• Experience with ERP systems and import-export software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Job description

Core Responsibilities Logistics Management: Coordinate daily import and export shipments, track cargo timelines, and work with freight forwarders, carriers, and port authorities.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all cross-border activities follow local and international trade laws, customs regulations, tariffs, and HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classifications.

• Documentation & Records: Review and approve shipping paperwork, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.

• Vendor & Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service terms with global suppliers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and customs brokers. Financial Oversight: Monitor shipping budgets, track foreign exchange or forex fluctuations, manage duty payments, and minimize overall transport costs.

• Problem Solving: Resolve customs delays, cargo damage, and logistics crises quickly to prevent supply chain disruptions.
• Key Requirements & Skills

• Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.

• Experience: 5 to 7+ years of hands-on experience in international trade, shipping, or customs brokerage.

• Knowledge: Strong command of INCOTERMS, customs clearance rules, and import-export software or ERP systems.

• Soft Skills: Clear communication, leadership, sharp negotiation skills, and high attention to detail for handling complex compliance data.
