Job summary

Ardee Industries in Delhi seeks a procurement professional to oversee imported raw materials (used batteries, RML, cables and other lead related products) in line with the business plan, ensuring quality and price alignment. You will identify new suppliers, develop existing ones and participate in international conferences to expand the company’s presence.

Role includes establishing vendor yards abroad for better rates, arranging testing at origin, ensuring timely shipments and payments, and

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Imported raw material procurement (used batteries, RML, cables and other lead related products) requirement planning as per business plan
• Imported Raw material procurement (used batteries, RML, cables and other lead related products) as per business plan at the right price
• The quality of raw material is as per the agreed business plan
• Identification of new suppliers/markets and developments of existing ones.
• Participation in international conferences to build contacts and show our presence
• Establish yards in countries to ensure better rates and profitability for the company
• Establish sample testing and site inspection facility for containers at the point of origin
• Responsible for ensuring timely shipment and tracking the same there after
• Ensure that the Fund requirement planning is given to finance department as per the agreed time frame
• Advance to supplier Timely as per T&C
• Facilitate timely payments for the arrived material so that there are no detention or demurrage charges through the HO finance department
• Facilitate timely and as per process - off loading of container through the plant, with proper quality checks and photographs at each stage
• Ensure timely and smooth claim management process
• Ensure proper documentation related to EODC of licenses
• In future - develop mechanism to report market changes/law changes to the management so that advantage could be taken or damage could be controlled if any
• Responsible for adhering to the agreed internal and external Service Level Agreements
• Overview - Daily MIS provided for: Material in Pipeline, Finance required, Claims status, Live LME data
• Monitor Target/Actual on weekly basis.
• Conduct the MRM with management
