Job summary

Calderys India Refractories in Odisha seeks a procurement and logistics professional to manage inbound materials, ensure EHS compliance, and sustain 5S in the workplace.

You will coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs, handle import documentation, oversee GRN processing, and monitor SAP stock to support on-time delivery and continuous Kaizen improvements.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all EHS guidelines in the workplace.
• Maintain 5S at the workplace.
• Coordinate inbound shipments of raw materials and packing materials per production schedule.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage all import documentation (Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, LC/BG, customs papers).
• Coordinate with warehouses/QC for GRN processing and material inspection.
• Issue purchase orders per note sheet and follow up with vendors for registration before PO.
• Ensure delivery of materials as per PO terms.
• Unloading of materials properly with required documents.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Record stock in SAP and reconcile with book stock.
• Analyze inbound KPIs (lead time, cost per ton, on-time delivery).
• Participate in KAIZEN improvements.
• Maintain housekeeping after job completion.
• Allocate manpower and supervise contractors/contract workers.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Following, respecting & establishing all EHS guidelines, protocols etc in workplace.
• Ensuring 5S at workplace.
• Coordinating with QC teams for Incoming materials inspection and Rejection handling.
• Plan and coordinate Inbound shipments of raw materials/chemicals/packing materials/consumables (domestic and Imported) in line with production schedules.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage all Import documentations (Bill of Lading/ Certificate of origin/ LC/BG, custom clearance papers).
• Coordinate with warehouses/stores/ QC for GRN (goods Receipt Note) processing and Material inspection.
• Ensuring issuance of purchase order as per note sheet and follow up with vendor for vendor registration, ABG etc before place purchase order.
• Ensuring delivery of raw materials/chemicals/packing materials/consumables as per the terms of P.O.
• Ensuring unloading of raw materials/chemicals/packing materials/consumables properly along with proper documents.
• Monitoring of inventory levels of key Raw materials to avoid stockouts or Overstocking.
• Ensuring accurate records in SAP systems stock taking and match with book stock on regular basis.
• Analyse and report on Inbound KPIs (lead time, cost per ton, On-time delivery)
• Ensuring participation in KAIZENS (improvements jobs)
• Ensuring proper housekeeping after job completion
• Allocation of manpower and taking work from contractor/contract workers.
