Job summary

Isgec Heavy Engineering is seeking a procurement and planning professional to oversee material planning and scheduling across projects and production centres. You will review drawings and technical documents to assess scope, time, and cost, providing real-time data through MIS to management.

You will guide the planning team, coordinate with design, purchasing, vendors, and shop production, optimize inventory, drive cost-saving opportunities, manage MRP, and ensure timely, cost-efficient project

Responsibilities

• Ensure Planning and scheduling of all required materials for different projects & for different Production working centers are as per project delivery/Shop loading requirements to get better outputs.
• Review & analyze the Material take off list / Drawings / Technical documents of each Project to identify the scope of work & further analysis the time, cost of each project and providing real time data through MIS to Management.
• Guide and support the Project Planning team in technical matters and resolve drawing queries related to Procurement action and monitor all costs/delivery of the materials and central planning activities for timely & smooth execution to meet project deliveries.
• Guiding and providing the real time delivery time for major raw materials, attachments, Sub-assemblies & its input data to Shop planning team as a backup in preparation of the Yearly Plan / Quarterly plan / Monthly Production & Dispatch plans.
• To Guide, monitor & Control the Procurement activities also make ensure to synchronize with Divisions Yearly/Quarterly Business Plans.
• Priorities the Sequence of Work at sub vendors for major raw materials like Tubes, Pipes, Forgings, Casings, attachments etc. and its Sub-assemblies as per Divisions Production & Dispatch Plans.
• Suggest cost saving methods through suggesting alternative materials and alternate Process / Manufacturing sequence to internal / external stake holders to save time & cost of Project.
• Selection of Suitable vendors for supply of materials to succeed in Project deliveries.
• Develop strategies between design team/ Projects team / Purchase team / Vendors or suppliers /Shop production planning team to align with Monthly /Quarterly / Yearly production/Dispatch plans.
• Manage the material requirements planning (MRP) and mitigate material risks.
• Oversee Capacity Planning of Outside vendors and raw materials suppliers for the Division and in Implement best inventory practice / level of inventory.
• Drive continuous improvement in vendor development & in selection of vendors
• Lead the complete materials procurement, planning and providing Communication efforts for the division to foster collaboration with Internal / external stake holders.
• Maintain accurate reporting of various performance indicators and Management information systems to top management.
• Participate in root cause analysis and collaborate on corrective and preventive strategies with Operations & Procurement team.
• Scheduling of jobs/equipment’s through L1, L2, L4 as per requirement through MS project for direct orders.
