Job summary

Future Focus Infotech is seeking a Network Engineer L1 for opportunities with our client in India. The role involves configuring and monitoring routers, switches, FortiGate firewalls, and WAN links, with minimal supervision.

The candidate will report to the Mumbai-based team and may be deputed to Bangalore or Pune. We expect 1+ year of network experience, familiarity with Solarwinds, access to ticketing tools, and proficiency in Excel reporting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Experience with routers, switches, wireless, and firewalls.
• Immediate notice period is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure and monitor routers, switches, and FortiGate firewalls.
• Monitor WAN links and coordinate with ISPs during outages.
• Generate reports using MS Office/Excel.
• Maintain IOS versions and apply patches.
• Respond to tickets via ticketing system.
• Apply routing knowledge (OSPF/BGP) to troubleshoot connectivity.

• Good Knowledge on Networking products such as routers, switches, WIFI, firewalls etc
• FortiGate firewall ( Router) monitoring and configuration

• MS office ( excel) Reporting

• Monitor existing IOS and patches installed, and manage new IOS upgrades
• Knowledge of Dynamic IP Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and ability to independently analyze, configure and troubleshoot network connectivity
