Job summary

Sify Technologies Limited in Mumbai is hiring for an L2 Networking Security Engineer. The role focuses on supporting FortiGate and Cisco FTD/Firepower firewalls, managing FMC, policies, NAT, VPN and routing, and resolving VPN/IPsec issues.

You will monitor firewall health, logs and security events, perform configuration changes, and coordinate with L3 teams and OEM vendors. A 24x7 on-call shift may be required.

Qualifications

• Mandatory FortiGate Fortinet and Cisco FMC/FTD/Firepower skills for L2 security support.
• Experience with firewall policies, NAT, ACL and VPN configurations is required.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF and BGP is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for FortiGate and Cisco FTD/Firepower firewalls.
• Manage and troubleshoot FMC, firewall policies, NAT, ACL, VPN and routing.
• Troubleshoot IPsec/SSL VPN, traffic flow, packet drops and connectivity issues.
• Monitor firewall health, logs, alerts and security events.
• Perform approved firewall configuration changes and rule implementation.
• Troubleshoot HA/failover and firewall-related incidents.
• Coordinate with L3 Network/Security teams and OEM vendors for complex issues.
• Participate in 24x7 shift/on-call support, if required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for FortiGate and Cisco FTD/Firepower firewalls.
• Manage and troubleshoot FMC, firewall policies, NAT, ACL, VPN and routing.
• Troubleshoot IPsec/SSL VPN, traffic flow, packet drops and connectivity issues.

• Perform packet captures and analyze traffic using appropriate troubleshooting tools.
• Handle L2 incidents, changes and service requests within SLA.
• Coordinate with L3 Network/Security teams and OEM vendors for complex issues.
• Participate in 24x7 shift/on-call support, if required.
