Atlas Copco (India) Private Ltd. is seeking an HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR activities, recruitment, onboarding, and HRIS operations from the Pune office. You will drive employee engagement, learning initiatives, and payroll-related support while ensuring policy compliance.

The role requires 2–5 years of HR Generalist experience, exposure to manufacturing environments, and strong MS Excel and HRIS skills. On-site Pune location with opportunities for growth and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM in HR required.
• 2–5 years of HR Generalist experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering industry preferred.
• Exposure to plant HR or shop-floor environment is an advantage.
• Proficiency with HRMS platforms and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Publish JD in brand-compliant HR links.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment for staff, apprentices, and shop-floor positions.
• Source candidates via portals, LinkedIn, referrals, and campuses.
• Screen profiles and conduct initial HR interviews.
• Coordinate interviews, communication, and feedback.
• Maintain recruitment trackers, dashboards, and reports.
• Oversee onboarding, documentation, induction, and pre-joining engagement.
• Ensure attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and HR documentation.
• Prepare HR MIS and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and statutory requirements.
• Identify training needs and coordinate programs.
• Plan and execute employee engagement activities and events.
• Support grievance handling and confidential HR support.

Your role

Mission

Support the business in achieving its people objectives through effective talent acquisition, HR operations, employee engagement, learning and development, and employee experience initiatives. This role will manage day‑to‑day HR activities and contribute to key HR projects aligned with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

• Publishing the JD in HR link as per branding guidelines

Understanding the job requirement from hiring managerand manage end-to-end recruitment for staff, apprentices, and shop-floor positions

Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, consultants, and campus hiring.

Screen profiles and conduct initial HR interviews.

Coordinate interviews, candidate communication, and feedback.

Maintain recruitment trackers, dashboards, and reports.

Manage onboarding, documentation, induction, and pre-joining engagement activities.

Monitor recruitment metrics and hiring effectiveness.

HR Operations and HRIS

Manage employee lifecycle activities from onboarding to separation using People Strong .

Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy.

Support attendance, leave management, payroll inputs, and HR documentation.

Prepare HR MIS and management reports.

Ensure compliance with HR policies, statutory requirements, and internal processes.

Learning and Development

• Identify training needs in collaboration with business stakeholders.

Coordinate training programs and execute as per the training calendar.

• Coordinate with internal and external trainers.

Maintain training records in training file, learning link and excel. ensureattendance sheet,feedback, trainingeffectiveness is duly filled.

Ensure completion of mandatory trainings

Employee Engagement and Experience

Proactively plan and execute employee engagement activities and events.

Support rewards and recognition programs,town hall meetings.

Coordinate employee communication and HR campaigns.

Assist in employee feedback surveys and action planning.

Employee Relations and HR Support

Serve as the first point of contact for routine HR queries.

Address employee concerns and elevate issues when necessary.

Support grievance handling and documentation.

Build strong relationships with employees and managers.

Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment.

Maintain confidentiality of employee information.

HR Projects and Analytics

Support and drive HR projects aligned with business priorities.

Support internal and external audits, compliance activities, and process improvement initiatives.

Contribute to HR digitization and continuous improvement efforts.

To succeed, you will need

Qualifications

MBA or PGDM in Human Resources.

2 to 5 years of HR Generalist experience.

Experience in manufacturing or engineering industry preferred.

Exposure to plant HR or shop-floor environment is an advantage.

Technical Skills

Experience with HRMS platforms such as PeopleStrong, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar systems.

Proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reporting.

Good working knowledge of PowerPoint.

Understanding of labor laws and statutory compliance.
