Job summary

Hitachi Hi-Rel Power Electronics Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced LV Drive Specialist to act as SME for complex LV VFD applications across industries such as cranes, HVAC, pumps, and conveyors.

The role involves sizing, configuring drives, and preparing robust technical proposals aimed at differentiating our Japanese technology. You will train system integrators and distributors, mentor a regional team, and perform deep benchmarking against major competitors.

Qualifications

• Experience of LV Drive Application knowledge in various fields.
• 10+ years experience with at least 6-7 years focused on LV products and technical support.
• Proficiency in Gujarati, Hindi and English; local resident.
• Willing to travel across India.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for complex LV VFD applications across multiple industries (crane/hoist, HVAC, pumps, etc).
• Conduct joint technical visits with channels to influence OEM specifications toward our technology.
• Analyze customer requirements, perform sizing and configuration of drives, and prepare robust technical proposals.
• Design and deliver structured technical training programs and product certification courses for SIs, VARs, and distributors.
• Mentor internal team of regional channel managers with ongoing application support.
• Benchmark against competitors to identify USPs and counter arguments; create localized notes and whitepapers.
• Develop localized application notes and success stories to support field sales.

Essential Knowledge & skills: Experience of LV Drive Application knowledge in various fields, PLC programming, code writing, Good Presentation skills, Training ability

Preferred Knowledge & Skills: LV Drive market knowledge and product knowledge. Gujarati, Hindi and English language proficiency. Should be local resident, ready to travel across India.

Job Description:

• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for complex, heavy-duty, and specialized LV VFD applications across industries (e.g., crane/hoist, tension control, multi-drive systems, Compressors, Extruders, high-speed pumps/fans, and HVAC systems, Machinery, Level-1 Automation).
• Conduct joint technical visits with channel partners to key OEMs, Industrial End-Users, and Automation Consultants to influence technical specifications in favour of our Japanese technology.
• Analyze customer technical requirements, perform sizing, selection, and configuration of drives, and prepare robust, foolproof technical proposals. Troubleshoot complex application challenges during the pre-sales phase to demonstrate product superiority and build customer confidence.
• Design and deliver structured technical training programs, product certification courses, and application workshops for System Integrators (SIs), Value Added Resellers (VARs), and Distributors.
• Create a self-reliant channel ecosystem by empowering partner engineers to handle standard configurations and basic commissioning independently.
• Provide continuous technical mentoring and application support to the internal team of 7–8 regional channel managers.
• Perform deep technical benchmarking against key competitors (e.g., ABB, Siemens, Danfoss, Schneider, Fuji, Yaskawa Etc) to identify our product USPs and counter competitor arguments.
• Develop localized application notes, success stories, and technical whitepapers to support the field sales team.

Gather market intelligence on required product modifications, software features, or customized firmware, feeding this data back to the global Japanese R&D and Product Management teams.
