Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services is seeking a Head of Structural Design in Jubilee Hills to lead the structural engineering function with a focus on safe, compliant, cost-effective and manufacturable solutions. You will drive design excellence, standardisation and innovation while coordinating with design, manufacturing and project execution teams.

The role requires 12–15 years of relevant experience and a strong background in modular, prefab, steel or construction environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/M.Tech in structural engineering with relevant expertise.
• 12–15 years of experience in structural design, preferably in modular or construction environments.
• Experience with design optimisation and standardisation for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Structural Design team and set technical standards.
• Develop, review and approve structural designs, calculations, drawings and specs.
• Ensure compliance with Indian standards and building codes.
• Lead structural analysis using SolidWorks, STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD/Revit.
• Coordinate with Architecture, MEP, Production, Procurement, QA and Projects.
• Optimize designs for manufacturing, transportation, lifting and site install.
• Drive DFMA and value engineering for cost efficiency.
• Review designs and manage technical risks and deliverables.
• Develop design standards, templates and reusable solutions.
• Collaborate with external consultants and vendors as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in design quality and turnaround times.

Job Summary / Overview:

Lead the structural engineering function, delivering safe, compliant, cost-effective and manufactural structural solutions. The role will drive design excellence, standardisation, innovation and effective coordination across design, manufacturing and project execution.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the Structural Design team, establishing technical standards and performance expectations.
• Develop, review and approve structural designs, calculations, drawings, specifications and engineering deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Indian Standards, building codes and statutory requirements.
• Lead structural analysis and design using relevant engineering software such as Solid works STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD/Revit.
• Integrate structural design with Architecture, MEP, Production, Procurement, Quality and Projects.
• Ensure designs are optimised for manufacturing, transportation, lifting, assembly and site installation.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA), value engineering, material optimisation and standardisation.
• Review designs, revisions and technical risks while ensuring timely engineering deliverables.
• Develop structural design standards, templates and reusable engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with external consultants, vendors and third-party agencies when required.
• Drive continuous improvement in design quality, turnaround time, cost efficiency and engineering capability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering; M. Tech in Structural Engineering from reputed institutions.
• 12 - 15 years of relevant experience in structural design, preferably in modular, prefab, steel, industrial or construction environments.
• Experience in design optimisation, value engineering, standardisation and design for manufacturing.
