The role requires 10+ years in operations with hands-on import and export experience, ERP/Zoho discipline, KPI dashboards, and cost control.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in operations leading a full function (supply chain, warehouse, quality) with OTIF or cost accountability.
• Hands-on import and export operations in recent years with end-to-end shipment ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own order fulfilment and delivery across ex-Bhiwadi and ex-Dubai nodes with target OTIF ≥95%.
• Run end-to-end export documentation (BL, COO, LC/TT).
• Manage inbound operations (BOE, customs clearance, CHA coordination).
• Own supplier delivery performance and landed cost across international lanes.
• Drive inventory turns and working capital discipline with Finance.
• Maintain batch quality pass-rate ≥98% with non-negotiable certificates.
• Install KPI pairs for all sub-functions and monitor monthly.

Role Summary

Duratuf ships electrical safety equipment to industries in 65+ countries from two entities — India and the UAE. The Operations Head owns the order from Purchase Order (PO) to proven delivery: on time, in full, at the right cost, across both entities. Today this function sits with the founding team; your mandate is to take it over completely within your first 60 days, so that every operations decision routes through your seat. This is a function-takeover role reporting directly to the CEO — you inherit a live multi-site operation, a team being built in parallel, and full accountability for the numbers.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfilment & Delivery

• Own blended Customer OTIF (On-Time In-Full) across the ex-Bhiwadi and ex-Dubai nodes — target ≥95%, with the baseline measured in your first month.
• Own outbound export dispatch end-to-end: Bill of Lading (BL), Certificate of Origin (COO), Letter of Credit / Telegraphic Transfer (LC/TT) documentation.

Import & International Sourcing

• Run inbound operations hands-on: Bill of Entry (BOE), customs clearance, Customs House Agent (CHA) coordination, inbound freight from overseas suppliers.
• Own supplier delivery performance and landed cost across international sourcing lanes.

Inventory & Working Capital

• Drive inventory turns to ≥5× while holding cash conversion cycle discipline — a joint accountability with Finance.

Quality & Compliance

• Sustain batch quality pass-rate ≥98% with zero certification lapses. Our products protect lives; certificates are non-negotiable.

Systems & Performance Management

• Install a leading + lagging KPI (Key Performance Indicator) pair for every operations sub-function and individual within 45 days — live, reviewed monthly, acted on.
• Run the function on dashboards and ERP/Zoho-class systems discipline, not on chasing.

People & Organisation

• Develop the Supply Chain Manager and Bhiwadi Assistant Manager to full performance through their first 90 days.
• Own hiring decisions on open seats within the function, including the data-based go/no-go call on the procurement hire.

Requirements

Experience

• 10+ years in operations, with at least 5 years leading a full operations function (supply chain + warehouse + quality, 10+ direct reports) — owned first-hand, with an owned OTIF (On-Time In-Full) or cost number to show for it.
• Personally ran both import operations (Bill of Entry, customs clearance, CHA coordination, inbound freight) and export operations (Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, LC/TT documentation) within the last 3 years — with named lanes and ports.
• First-hand ownership of multi-site, multi-entity operations — ideally India plus an international node.
• ERP/Zoho-class systems discipline — runs the function on KPI pairs and dashboards, not chasing.
• Quality and compliance orientation in a certified-product context.

Non-Negotiables

• Hands-on import and export operations within the last 3 years — supervising a team that did it does not qualify. You should be able to walk a shipment end-to-end from memory, including where clearances go wrong.
• First-hand ownership of a multi-site operations function — not a single site, not a support role.
• Based in Kolkata or committed to relocating.
• Notice period of 60 days or less.
