Role Overview

Duratuf Products Pvt. Ltd. is hiring an Assistant Manager — Procurement & Demand Planning for its Kolkata HQ to lead end-to-end procurement execution. This role requires 4-6 years of hands-on industrial B2B procurement experience, ERP (Zoho or equivalent) proficiency, and the ability to run the procurement engine independently from day one. Key responsibilities include vendor PO discipline, MRP execution, supplier OTIF tracking, inbound freight RFQs (sea, air, and domestic trucking), and operational sourcing across categories. The role owns inbound freight, while outbound freight is managed by the Manager — Fulfilment, Billing & Logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement & PO Management
  • End-to-end PO handling in Zoho (Books/Inventory); no Excel tracking
  • Maintain PO confirmation TAT ≤ 1 week
  • Weekly OTIF tracking & reporting; highlight delays
  • Supplier negotiations, comparison sheets & landed costing
  • Ensure all supplier commitments recorded in Zoho
• Category Sourcing (Electrical Safety / PPE)
  • Source across 10 product categories; launch 3-5 SKUs/category
  • Maintain ≥2 suppliers per Tier 1 category (incl. 1 domestic)
  • Supplier qualification: compliance, MOQ, lead time, pricing
  • Support import docs: HS code, Bill of Entry, LC readiness
• Demand Planning & Inventory
  • MRP ownership for Tier 1 SKUs (by Month 6)
  • Maintain reorder points & safety stock in Zoho
  • Monthly S&OP with Sales (by Month 3)
  • Track stockouts/overstock; quarterly variance analysis
  • Coordinate with warehouse for inventory accuracy
• Inbound Logistics & Freight
  • Weekly RFQs: ≥3 freight forwarders (import) + ≥3 transporters (domestic)
  • Monitor freight cost vs benchmark; control landed cost %
  • Manage CHA coordination & documentation
  • Support direct dispatch cases (no outbound ownership)
• Zoho & Process Automation
  • Drive automation: PO workflows, follow-ups, freight booking, tracking
  • Target ≥60% automation by Month 12
  • Work with Zoho team; no parallel systems
• Stakeholder Management
  • Work with Sales, Finance, Warehouse & B&L
  • 24-hour deal feasibility support
  • Mentor trainee; structured training & reviews
  • Participate in quarterly supplier/freight reviews

Requirement

• Procurement Experience: 4-6 years in industrial B2B; strong preference for electrical safety / PPE / rubber / polymer / industrial materials
• ERP / WMS: Zoho or comparable systems (SAP, Tally, Unicommerce); strong preference for Zoho Books + Zoho Inventory
• Import Exposure: Inbound freight RFQs and CHA coordination; strong preference for sea + air imports from China / Europe
• Demand Planning: MRP setup and S&OP participation; strong preference for formal S&OP ownership
• Location: Kolkata-based, in-office full-time; strong preference for candidates currently based in Kolkata
• Education: Graduate (any stream); strong preference for Engineering or Supply Chain background
