Job summary

Balaji Amines in India is seeking a senior HR leader to drive group-wide HR strategy, manpower planning and industrial relations across multiple manufacturing plants. You will shape talent management, compensation, payroll governance and policy standardization.

The role requires deep exposure to labour laws, SAP/Oracle HR systems and experience in large multi-plant environments with unions. You will partner with directors to align HR initiatives with business goals.

Qualifications

• 18 to 20+ years HR experience in chemical/pharmaceutical/process manufacturing.
• Strong exposure to multi-plant HR, industrial relations & union management.
• Expertise in Labour Laws, Talent Management & Strategic HR.
• Experience in large workforce and manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead group-wide HR strategy and operations across multiple manufacturing plants and business locations.
• Lead Talent Acquisition, manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding and workforce optimization.
• Drive Talent Management, competency mapping, career development, retention and succession planning.
• Develop and implement HR policies, systems, processes and employee engagement initiatives across all units.
• Lead Performance Management, appraisal systems, promotions, increments and confirmation processes.
• Lead Compensation & Benefits, salary benchmarking, rewards & recognition and payroll governance.
• Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, PT, LWF and applicable labour laws.
• Drive Industrial Relations, Union Management, Collective Bargaining and employee grievance handling.
• Handle disciplinary matters, domestic enquiries, misconduct, absenteeism and employee relations.
• Ensure effective contract labour compliance, labour licences, statutory registers and labour documentation.
• Manage coordination with Labour Department, Factory Inspectorate, PF, ESIC and other statutory authorities.
• Lead Internal, External, Customer, ESG, Labour Compliance, ISO audits and regulatory inspections related to HR/IR.
• Drive Training & Development, leadership development and organizational development initiatives.
• Lead change management, organizational restructuring and culture-building initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with employees, unions, functional heads and senior management.
• Provide strategic HR support to Directors/Management on manpower, organization and employee related matters.
• Ensure standardization of HR practices and compliance across all manufacturing units.
• Strong knowledge of HRMS/SAP SuccessFactors/Oracle Fusion HCM or equivalent HR systems preferred.
• Should have strong exposure to both Strategic HR and Industrial Relations in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred candidate profile

18 to 20+ years HR experience in Chemical / Pharmaceutical / Process Manufacturing.

Strong exposure to Multi-Plant HR, Industrial Relations & Union Management.

Expertise in Labour Laws, Talent Management & Strategic HR.

Experience in large workforce and manufacturing environment preferred.
