Job summary

Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals (DFPCL) invites a seasoned BE/B.Tech withInstrumentation or Electrical background to oversee Electrical & Instrumentation across multiple manufacturing units. You will define and implement E&I strategies aligned with plant operations and business goals, and drive modernization, upgrades, and automation to boost reliability and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation or Electrical engineering is required.
• 15–20 years of experience in benchmark maintenance in chemicals/fertilizers/petrochemicals plants.
• Experience with large-scale chemical or petroleum processing plant power distribution, monitoring and control systems.
• Electrical maintenance practices of HV/LV systems.

Role & responsibilities

• Strategic & Operational Leadership

Define and implement E&I strategies aligned with plant operations and business goals.

Lead modernization, upgradation, and automation initiatives to enhance operational reliability and energy efficiency.

Evaluate and implement best practices for predictive and preventive maintenance.

• Maintenance & Reliability

To lead and manage all Electrical and Instrumentation functions across the manufacturing units ensuring maximum equipment reliability, operational efficiency, adherence to safety norms, and compliance with statutory regulations

Oversee maintenance programs for HT/LT systems, DCS, PLC, SCADA, analyzers, instrumentation, and safety systems.

Monitor equipment performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize breakdowns and downtime.

• Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with statutory norms and other applicable regulations.

Champion EHS standards, LOTO procedures, and electrical safety protocols across the plant.

Coordinate audits internal, external, and regulatory.

• Energy Management

Drive energy conservation and optimization initiatives.

Liaise with energy auditors, and regulatory bodies and maintain required documentation and reporting

Preferred candidate profile

• BE/B. Tech Instrumentation /Electrical
• 15 To 20 years of experience in all kind of benchmark maintenance practice of Chemicals/ Fertilizers / Petrochemicals Plant.
• Experience in managing and maintaining large scale chemical or petroleum processing plant power distribution, monitoring and control systems
• Electrical maintenance practices of low/ medium/ high voltage systems.
