Job summary

Adani Power in Nagpur district seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Manager to lead HT/LT systems, switchyards, transformers, and drives, ensuring reliability and safety.

You will develop maintenance programs, plan shutdowns, manage budgets and vendor contracts, mentor engineers, and drive energy optimization and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 18-25 years of relevant experience in power plants, manufacturing, steel, cement, chemicals, or heavy process industries.
• MBA/PGDM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance of HT/LT electrical systems, switchyards, transformers, switchgear, motors, MCCs, PCCs, UPS systems, battery banks, drives and lighting systems.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Ensure minimum downtime and rapid restoration during electrical breakdowns.
• Monitor equipment health and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
• Develop strategies to improve equipment availability, reliability, and lifecycle.
• Analyze electrical failures and execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Drive condition monitoring initiatives including thermography, insulation testing, vibration analysis, and oil analysis.
• Maintain critical spares inventory and optimize maintenance costs.
• Plan and execute annual, major, and minor shutdown activities.
• Coordinate with operations, mechanical, instrumentation, and project teams.
• Ensure shutdown schedules are completed within timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules, CEA regulations, Factory Act, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Lead electrical safety audits, permit-to-work systems, and lockout-tagout (LOTO) implementation.
• Investigate electrical incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the department.
• Lead and mentor electrical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Conduct competency assessments and training programs.
• Establish clear KPIs and performance management systems for the team.
• Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Improve power factor management, demand control, and energy efficiency.
• Support sustainability and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Prepare annual maintenance budgets and monitor expenditure.
• Optimize maintenance costs without compromising reliability and safety.
