Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, focused on managing and growing the gold loan business. The role involves engaging with customers to explain gold loan products, assessing customer requirements, and guiding them through the application and approval process. Responsibilities include verifying gold ornaments as per company guidelines, coordinating with internal teams for valuation and documentation, and ensuring accurate data entry and record keeping. The professional in this role will monitor loan disbursals and repayments, support branch-level sales and marketing activities, and maintain compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The role also requires providing courteous customer service, resolving queries, and contributing to the achievement of branch and business targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail lending or gold loan operations, including customer handling and basic product knowledge.
• Skills in customer service, relationship management, and the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse customers.
• Basic financial and numerical skills, including comfort with calculations, loan terms, and payment schedules.
• Familiarity with documentation processes, data entry, and use of standard office or banking software.
• Attention to detail, integrity in handling valuables and sensitive information, and adherence to company policies and regulations.
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate with branch teams, and meet business and service quality targets.
• Prior experience in NBFCs, banks, or gold loan companies is an advantage.
• Minimum educational background of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, or a related field is preferred.
