Job summary

Poonawalla Fincorp in India’s Madhya Pradesh is seeking a branch-based officer responsible for gold loan appraisal, KYC verification, and vault custody. You will ensure accurate valuation, maintain process compliance, and support disbursal and payment cycles.

You will engage customers to drive repeat gold loan business while monitoring NPAs and reporting performance to supervisors. This role demands meticulous planning and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer engagement and gold ornament appraisal per policy.
• Accurate valuation and appraisal of pledged gold with correct weight and purity.
• Maintain 100% process compliance at the branch.
• Joint custodian responsibilities for vault safekeeping of pledged items.
• Verify customer KYC documents and process loan disbursals.
• Handle foreclosure, part release, closure and interest payment transactions.
• Process disbursal, foreclosure, release and accept customer payments.
• Follow up with customers to control NPAs and collect interest.

Responsibilities

• Focus on customer engagement and appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.
• Manage error free valuation & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.
• Responsible for correct valuation & maintenance of 100% process compliance at branch.
• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledge ornaments as per company policy.
• Verify customer KYC documents, application requests and initiate loan disbursals.
• Process foreclosure, part release, closure, interest payment transactions basis customer requests.
• Initiate transactions for disbursal, foreclosure, release and accept customer payments.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow ups from the customers for interest collections.
• Follow up with existing customers for repeat gold loan business
• Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch & for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers.
• Maintaining quality & performance of the business, preparing various reports and submit to supervisors.
