Job summary

Poonawalla Fincorp is seeking a Branch Loan Officer to focus on customer engagement and accurate appraisal of pledged gold ornaments, ensuring correct weight and purity in line with policy and audit requirements. The role covers end-to-end loan processing, KYC verification, disbursal, repayment support, and maintaining 100% process compliance while safeguarding pledged items in the branch vault.

Strong planning, reporting, and teamwork are essential to achieve branch targets and deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Experience in gold loan appraisal or secured lending preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify customer KYC documents, application requests and initiate loan disbursals.
• Process foreclosure, part release, closure, interest payment transactions basis customer requests.
• Initiate transactions for disbursal, foreclosure, release and accept customer payments.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow ups from the customers for interest collections.
• Follow up with existing customers for repeat gold loan business
• Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch & for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers.
• Maintaining quality & performance of the business, preparing various reports and submit to supervisors.

Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledge ornaments as per company policy.
