Poonawalla Fincorp in Madhya Pradesh is seeking a Branch Loan Officer to manage gold loan processes at a local branch. The role emphasizes accurate valuation of pledged ornaments, customer engagement, and strict adherence to policy and audit requirements.

You will verify KYC, initiate disbursals, handle foreclosures and part releases, and ensure timely payments while keeping NPAs under control. The position requires teamwork, reporting, and reliable custody of vault assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer engagement and KYC verification.
• Ability to assess gold weight and purity for pledged ornaments.
• Experience with loan disbursal and foreclosure processing.

Responsibilities

• Focus on customer engagement and appraisal of gold ornaments with correct weight and purity as per policy.
• Manage error-free valuation and branch compliance.
• Custodian of the Vault for safekeeping pledged ornaments.
• Verify customer KYC documents and initiate loan disbursals.
• Process foreclosure, part release and closure of loans.
• Initiate disbursal, foreclosure, release and accept customer payments.
• Keep NPAs under control through follow-ups for interest collection.
• Follow up with existing customers for repeat gold loan business.
• Plan for smooth branch operation and team cohesion.
• Prepare reports and submit to supervisors.

Principal Accountabilities

• Focus on customer engagement & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.
• Manage error free valuation & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.
• Responsible for correct valuation & maintenance of 100% process compliance at branch.
• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledge ornaments as per company policy.
• Verify customer KYC documents, application requests and initiate loan disbursals.
• Process foreclosure, part release, closure, interest payment transactions basis customer requests.
• Initiate transactions for disbursal, foreclosure, release and accept customer payments.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow ups from the customers for interest collections.
• Follow up with existing customers for repeat gold loan business
• Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch & for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers.
• Maintaining quality & performance of the business, preparing various reports and submit to supervisors.
