Job summary

Poonawalla Fincorp in India is seeking a Branch Loan Officer to focus on customer engagement and appraisal of pledged gold items, ensuring correct weight and purity as per policy and compliance standards. You will support error-free valuation and the branch's risk controls.

You will verify KYC, initiate loan disbursals, process foreclosures and payments, monitor NPAs with follow-ups, and promote repeat gold loan business.

Qualifications

• Experience in gold loan operations and branch processes.
• Knowledge of KYC and compliance requirements.
• Ability to assess weight and purity of gold assets.

Responsibilities

• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledge ornaments as per company policy.
• Verify customer KYC documents, application requests and initiate loan disbursals.
• Process foreclosure, part release, closure, interest payment transactions basis customer requests.
• Initiate transactions for disbursal, foreclosure, release and accept customer payments.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow ups from the customers for interest collections.
• Follow up with existing customers for repeat gold loan business
• Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch & for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers.
• Maintaining quality & performance of the business, preparing various reports and submit to supervisors.
• Responsible for correct valuation & maintenance of 100% process compliance at branch.
