Job summary

POLYMAK PVT LTD. in Chennai seeks a Stores/Warehouse professional to manage inventory, verify incoming materials, and issue items to production per requisitions. You will maintain stock records in ERP/SAP, ensure FIFO/FEFO, and coordinate with Purchase, Production, QA, and Accounts teams.

The role requires basic computer skills (Excel, MS Office) and experience in stores/warehouse operations, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and safety in the stores area.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of ERP/SAP.
• Good documentation and record-keeping.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders.
• Maintain proper storage and identification of materials.
• Issue materials to production departments as per approved requisitions.
• Maintain stock records in ERP/software/manual registers.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Conduct periodic stock verification and inventory audits.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QA, and Accounts departments.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO system implementation wherever applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the stores area.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
• Handle inward and outward documentation properly.
• Prevent material damage, shortages, and pilferage.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and safety procedures.
