JobItUs is seeking a General Manager - Design & Development in Mumbai to lead architectural design across multiple real estate projects. You will manage consultants, coordinate with project teams, and drive value engineering to ensure timely design approvals from concept to GFC drawings.

The role requires 18–20+ years of experience, B.Arch. (COA registration) and leadership capability. You will oversee design teams and ensure regulatory compliance for high-quality, cost-effective designs.

Qualifications

• Architectural design and design management experience.
• Experience coordinating consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of NBC, DCPR, fire and environmental regulations.
• Experience in obtaining statutory approvals and GFC drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architectural design and development across projects.
• Review concept, schematic, and detailed drawings.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, and interior consultants.
• Ensure compliance with NBC, DCPR, fire, environmental, and statutory regulations.
• Drive value engineering and cost optimization.
• Ensure timely issuance of GFC drawings and support project execution.
• Manage design approvals with local authorities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the architecture team.
