Job description

Location: Mumbai

The General Manager - Contracts is responsible for leading the Contracts & Commercial function throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-contract to post-contract stages. The role ensures that contracts are commercially viable, legally compliant, and effectively administered while minimizing contractual risks, maximizing profitability, and supporting successful project delivery.

The incumbent manages contract negotiations, claims,contract administration, cost control, dispute resolution, and compliance with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, BOQs, specifications, and contract conditions.
• Identify commercial and contractual risks during bid evaluation.
• Participate in tender negotiations with clients.
• Prepare contractual qualifications and commercial clarifications.
• Coordinate with estimation, legal, finance, and project teams.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts with clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors.

Educational Qualification

18-25 years in construction, EPC, infrastructure, or real estate. Minimum 8-10 years in senior contracts/commercial leadership roles. Experience with high-value residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. Experience with high-value residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. He/she should be a graduate Engineer preferably with P.G. qualifications in Contracts Management.
