Role Description

The Senior Engineer Contracts role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Mumbai. The person in this role will oversee end‑to‑end contract management for construction and real estate projects, including preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of contracts, work orders, and amendments. They will analyze project specifications, BOQs, and drawings to support cost estimation, rate analysis, and vendor evaluation, while ensuring alignment with technical requirements and commercial terms. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include coordinating with project, procurement, legal, and finance teams to track contractual obligations, monitor contractor performance, manage claims or variations, and support timely project delivery. The Senior Engineer Contracts will also maintain contract documentation, ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements, and provide regular reports and risk assessments to leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in contracts management within construction or real estate, including drafting, reviewing, and administering engineering and project contracts.
• Proficiency in cost estimation, quantity surveying, rate analysis, BOQ review, and commercial evaluation of bids or proposals.
• Knowledge of relevant construction codes, contract standards, applicable laws, and compliance requirements related to real estate and infrastructure projects.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and other project/contract management tools for tracking costs, progress, and contractual milestones.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities to handle claims, variations, and risk mitigation in contracts.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, legal, and finance teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline; a master’s degree or specialization in contracts or construction management is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead contracts role on large‑scale residential or commercial projects in Mumbai.
