Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Legal, Contracts & Claims professional with strong exposure to EPC / Renewable Energy / Power / Infrastructure projects.


The candidate will be responsible for contract drafting, review, negotiation, contract administration, claims management and legal support for EPC projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in EPC contracts, FIDIC, contractual claims, variations, EOT, change in law and dispute resolution.


Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review and negotiate EPC, subcontract, vendor, service and commercial agreements.
  • Manage upstream and downstream contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide legal and contractual advice to Project, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial and Business teams.
  • Handle contract administration and contractual risk management.
  • Prepare and manage claims, counterclaims, variation orders and change orders.
  • Handle contractual matters relating to delay, Extension of Time (EOT), change in scope, change in law, unforeseen conditions and cost impact.
  • Draft contractual notices, claims and commercial/legal correspondence.
  • Review and advise on Bank Guarantees, LDs, indemnities, warranties and contractual securities.
  • Interpret and administer FIDIC and other EPC contract conditions.
  • Support project teams in protecting contractual rights and mitigating commercial/legal risks.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsels and law firms on contractual and dispute matters.
  • Support arbitration, litigation and other dispute-resolution proceedings as required.
  • Identify contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of contractual notices, claims, variations and disputes.

Candidate Profile
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in Legal / Contracts / Claims.
  • Experience in EPC, Renewable Energy, Solar, Power, Infrastructure or Construction is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Good understanding of EPC contracts and FIDIC.
  • Experience in claims management, variations, EOT and change orders.
  • Exposure to contractual disputes / arbitration will be an advantage.
  • Strong commercial understanding with the ability to identify contractual and project risks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
