Job summary

Telawne Power Equipments is seeking a dynamic Front-End Sales Engineer in Mumbai to drive new business in the transformer sector. You will cultivate customer relationships, promote transformer products, and coordinate techno‑commercial offers to close orders.

The role requires 15 years of experience, knowledge of power and distribution transformers, and readiness to travel for client meetings and project opportunities. A Diploma or BE in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Front-End Sales Engineer with experience in the transformer industry. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, promoting transformer products, handling customer inquiries, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities for power transformers and distribution transformers.
• Customer Acquisition: Visit potential customers, consultants, EPC contractors, industries, utilities, and electrical contractors to generate sales leads.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Sales and Marketing: Promote the company's transformer products and identify new markets and business opportunities.
• Customer Requirements: Understand customer requirements, technical specifications, and project needs to recommend suitable transformer solutions.
• Quotation Coordination: Coordinate with the backend sales team to prepare and submit techno-commercial quotations and proposals.
• Order Negotiation: Conduct commercial discussions, negotiate pricing and payment terms, and follow up to secure purchase orders.
• Market Research: Monitor competitor activities, market trends, customer demands, and upcoming transformer projects.
• Order Follow-up: Coordinate with internal teams and customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and pending payments.
• Sales Targets: Achieve assigned sales targets and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Customer Visits: Conduct regular customer meetings, site visits, and follow-ups to strengthen business relationships.
• Sales Reporting: Maintain customer databases, sales reports, lead trackers, and periodic business development updates.

Required Skills

• 1-5 years of experience in front-end sales or business development, preferably in the transformer manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of power transformers and/or distribution transformers.
• Understanding of electrical products, transformer specifications, and technical-commercial sales.
• Experience in customer handling, lead generation, negotiation, and order finalization.
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits and business development activities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with proven experience in transformer sales, electrical equipment sales, customer relationship management, and business development within the transformer or power industry will be preferred.
