Job summary

MRF is seeking an Exports Logistics In-Charge to oversee daily execution and carrier management in Chennai. The role includes monthly RFQ processes, forwarder allocations in consultation with the Head of logistics and Exports team, and ensuring bookings and containers for export stuffing at plants.

You will monitor ETA changes and identify new forwarders to optimize freight costs. The position also focuses on cost control, budgeting inputs with the logistics analyst, and driving digitization of

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly RFQ and forwarder allocation in consultation with Head logistics and Exports team
• Ensure booking copies and containers are ensured for the export stuffing
• Ensure containers for direct export stuffing at plants
• Alert stakeholders for containers shipped in case of any change in the planned ETA
• Identification of new forwarders/liners for export/import requirements as the case may be
• Monitoring of trends in Exim freight and movements
• Provide inputs to logistics analyst for export freight and Inland-import handling budgets
• Identify new liners and new forwarders to reduce export freight cost
• Identify and implement Cost reduction initiatives in export freight, import freight cost and inland import handling
• Digitization of Exports operations -RFQ, Container allocation and tracking
