Job summary

DEVAM INDIA PVT LTD is seeking an organized logistics coordinator to manage end-to-end import and export shipments from booking to final delivery. You will coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and customs agents to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires arranging sea and air freight bookings, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with import/export regulations and Incoterms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end import and export shipments from booking to final delivery.
• Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and customs agents.
• Arrange sea and air freight bookings based on shipment requirements.
• Obtain and negotiate freight rates with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain import/export documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, Certificates of Origin, and other relevant documents.
• Coordinate with customs brokers/CHA for customs clearance and documentation.
• Track shipments and provide accurate updates regarding ETD, ETA, vessel schedules, transshipment, customs clearance, and final delivery.
• Monitor shipment schedules and proactively identify potential delays or operational issues.
• Resolve issues related to shipping, documentation, customs clearance, transportation, delays, and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with applicable import/export regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight costs, documentation, and delivery status.
• Coordinate with internal purchase, sales, finance, and operations teams regarding shipment requirements and documentation.
• Assist in controlling and optimizing freight and logistics costs.
• Support continuous improvement of logistics processes to improve delivery timelines, cost efficiency, documentation accuracy, and operational reliability.

The candidate should be able to independently follow shipments, identify issues early, and ensure that cargo moves smoothly from supplier to final destination.
