Job summary

PRESPL in Solapur, Maharashtra, is looking for a Plant/Maintenance Engineer to oversee briquette-fired boiler maintenance, drive uptime, and ensure GMP compliance on site.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, coordinate with contractors, manage daily maintenance logs, and support safety and hygiene standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all predictive and preventive maintenance work, ensuring high standards across the site.
• Carry out maintenance across briquetting fired boiler in low and high care environments.
• Attend to breakdowns onsite with rapid response to minimize downtime.
• Carry out period maintenance repairs on plant and equipment, solo or in teams.
• Perform on-site PPM with a proactive maintenance approach and high output.
• Deliver plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventive & predictive maintenance.
• Implement machinery and site improvement projects.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe condition; keep workshop and plant rooms safe.
• Adhere to GMP and technical procedures; follow hygiene guidelines and safety standards.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met and that equipment complies with company policies.
• Maintain daily maintenance report logs and assist with stores/stock control.
• Ensure work orders, permits, and safety audits are completed on time.
• Liaise effectively with external contractors.
• Represent the plant manager in production meetings and facilitate communication within the Site Engineering team.
• Maintain reporting channels between Production and Plant Manager and build good relationships with staff.
• Maintain HSSE/EHS standards and follow company policy across offices and project sites.

Job description

A) Basic Function

• 1. Responsibility of the briquette fired boiler by resolving breakdowns and by delivering maintenance.
• 2. To drive improvement across the site in terms of machinery maintenance, hygiene, quality, and performance.

B) Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

• 1. Responsible for all predictive and preventive maintenance work, making sure it is carried out to the highest possible standards across the whole of the site.
• 2. Expected to carry out all maintenance across the briquetting fired boiler, in both a low care and high care environment.
• 3. Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring that there is always a rapid response, and that plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimized. Always endeavor to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery; and
• 4. Carry out period maintenance repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team.
• 5. To carry out PPM onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a proactive approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output.
• 6. Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative & predictive maintenance.
• 7. Deliver improvement work on machinery and site improvement work.
• 8. Maintaining tools and equipment, so that they are in a safe working condition; as well as making sure that the workshop and plant rooms are always in safe environments.
• 9. Always adhere to technical procedures and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP).
• 10. Work in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with the Company's Hygiene Code of Practice COVID-19 working guidelines.
• 11. Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met, and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards.
• 12. Maintain daily Maintenance report log.
• 13. Assist with stores organization/stock control.
• 14. Ensure work orders are completed, work permit, safely audits on time.
• 15. Liaise effectively with external contractors.
• 16. Represent the plant manager for operation and Site shift Engineer in production meetings and contribute to effective communication within the Site Engineering team.
• 17. Make sure that there are good reporting and communication channels in place between Production and Plant Manager.
• 18. Develop and maintain good working relationship with Plant Manager & Staff.
• 19. Ensure secrecy of database, technological initiatives, and business plans of the Company.
• 20. Maintain HSSE / EHS standards and follow policy in Office and Project Sites in consultation with Reporting Superior and as per Company Policy.
