Job summary

PRESPL in Solapur, Maharashtra, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee reactive and proactive maintenance across the site, ensuring high standards.

You will attend breakdowns, perform period maintenance, drive PPM and uptime KPIs, and collaborate with the Engineering and site teams to improve OEE while adhering to GMP, H&S and hygiene guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and proactive maintenance across the site to high standards.
• Carry out maintenance across the plant in low and high care environments.
• Attend breakdowns on site with rapid response to minimize downtime.
• Perform periodic maintenance repairs alone or in teams.
• Carry out PPM with a proactive approach and ensure high output.
• Deliver uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned and predictive maintenance.
• Implement improvements on machinery and site operations.
• Ensure engineering time is managed to minimize downtime and improve OEE.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition; keep workshop safe.
• Adhere to GMP and company hygiene code and health & safety standards.
• Work in a clean, orderly manner following technical procedures.
• Report daily engineering logs; assist with stores/stock control.
• Ensure work orders, permits and safety audits are completed on time.
• Liaise with external contractors effectively.
• Represent plant manager in production meetings and coordinate with design dept.
• Maintain good reporting and communication channels with plant manager.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Plant Managers.

(a)Responsible for all reactive and proactive maintenance work, whilst making sure it is carried out to the highest possible standards across the whole of the site.

(b) Expected to carry out all maintenance across the plant, in both a low care and high care environment.

( c ) Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring that there is always a rapid response, and that plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimized. Always endeavor to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery.

(d) Carry out period maintenance repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team.

(e) To carry out PPM onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a pro-active approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output.

(f) Deliver plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative & predictive maintenance.

(g) Deliver improvement work on machinery and site improvement work.

(h) Ensure Engineering time is managed effectively and that that there is low Engineering down-time; and Improve OEE. H&S, Food Safety, and GMP.

(i) Maintaining tools and equipment, so that they are in a safe working condition; as well as making sure that the workshop and plant rooms are always safe environments.

(j) Always adhere to technical procedures and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP).

(k) Work in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with the Companys Hygiene Code of Practice COVID-19 working guidelines; and Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met; and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards.

(l) Maintain daily Engineering report log; Assist with stores organization /stock control.

(m) Ensure work orders are completed, work permit, safely audits on time.

(n) Liaise effectively with external contractors.

(o) Represent the plant manager for operation and HO Engineering design department in production meetings and contribute to effective communication within the Engineering team & site team.

(p) Make sure that there is good reporting and communication channels in place with plant manager.

(q) Develop and maintain good working relationships with Plant Managers.
