Job summary

Luminous India is seeking a maintenance professional to design maintenance procedures, plan budgets, and perform inspections across facilities to ensure reliable plant operations. You will calibrate instruments, review maintenance plans, and coordinate 24x7 coverage with teams to minimize downtime.

You will drive root cause analysis, optimize MTTR/MTBF, and implement cost-saving and energy-saving measures while coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to keep assets in optimal

Responsibilities

• 1 Designing maintenance procedures, tracking budgets and expenses and performing inspections on different facilities to find problems and make repairs
• 2 Ensuring that all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company policy and SOP
• 3 Planning for consumables and spares parts procurement for plant machineries and Utilities
• 4 Designing the calibration schedule for various measuring instruments
• 5 Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate and working fine
• 6 Carrying out quality inspections of the machines
• 7 Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns
• 8 Organising teams to make sure 24x7 coverage is available
• 9 Making scheduled checks on machinery and other infra related to manufacturing
• 10 Planning preventive/ predictive/ breakdown maintenance schedules of various machineries and equipment to increase machine up time/ reliability.
• 11 Reviewing preventive /breakdown maintenance as well as repair process checklist, plan and frequency.
• 12 Root cause analysis for breakdowns and taking corrective actions
• 13 Monitor and take actions to improve MTTR and MTBF
• 14 Plan and take actions to extend machine life span
• 15 Managing installation and commissioning of equipment, machinery’s and systems, etc. as well as handling facilities for completion of projects in stipulated time/cost parameters.
• 16 Executing cost saving and energy saving projects, take measures and modifications to achieve reduction in O&M expenditures and work within the budget allocated
• 17 Ensuring cost optimization for consumables for utility process and equipments
• 18 Imparting continuous on the job training, ensuring a high level of quality and safety consciousness among the team
• 19 Identifying areas of obstruction/ breakdowns and taking steps for rectifying equipment through application of trouble shooting tools.
• 20 Coordinating material/ spare parts planning related activities encompassing identification of vendors, requirement specification and offer evaluation.
• 21 Perform maintenance management on all fronts by supervising maintenance workers and establishing priorities in place
• 22 Work closely with the maintenance supervisors, maintenance technicians, service providers, and other maintenance staff
• 23 Maintain all manufacturing assets in facilities, monitor and control inventory levels, handle purchase orders, invoice approvals etc
• 24 Prioritize maintenance tasks and activities to ensure operational efficiency at it's level best
• 25 Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
• 26 Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.
• 27 Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
• 28 Reviewing and maintaing various reports like Beakdown logs/power consumption and utilities report etc and make plans to control the set targets
• 29 Tracking of AMCs and it's effectiveness and maintaining the logs of AMC visits and reports generated by service engineers
