Job summary

City Trade Arcade is seeking a vigilant Site Supervisor to oversee finishing works at residential projects in Odisha. You will ensure tile, granite, paint, putty, door and window installations are executed as per drawings and timelines.

You will monitor progress, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, and maintain records of snag lists, quality checks, and daily site updates to support on-time handover.

Role & responsibilities

Supervise and monitor day-to-day finishing activities at residential project sites. Ensure proper execution of tile, granite, paint, putty, door, and window installation works. Coordinate and supervise finishing activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Ensure activities are executed as per the planned sequence and project timelines. Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of assigned finishing works.

2. Quality Inspection & Workmanship

Inspect finishing works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Monitor the quality of workmanship across all finishing activities. Identify quality issues, defects, and deviations during execution. Ensure corrective actions are taken promptly and re-inspect completed works. Ensure proper use of approved materials and adherence to specified application methods. Maintain a strong focus on achieving the required finishing quality and standards.

3. Snag / Punch List Management

Prepare, monitor, and maintain snag / punch lists for finishing works. Identify incomplete, defective, or non-compliant works during inspections. Coordinate with concerned vendors, subcontractors, and site teams for timely rectification. Conduct follow-up inspections after rectification. Ensure all snag/punch-list items are properly closed before handover. Maintain proper records of pending and closed snags.

4. Manpower & Productivity Management Monitor manpower deployment for various finishing activities. Allocate and coordinate manpower based on work priorities and project requirements. Monitor productivity and workmanship of workers and subcontractors

Identify manpower shortages or productivity issues affecting project progress. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure adequate manpower is deployed. Ensure optimum utilisation of available manpower at site.

5. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

Coordinate with finishing vendors, contractors, and subcontractors for smooth execution of works. Communicate work requirements, priorities, quality expectations, and completion timelines. Monitor vendor/subcontractor performance and progress. Follow up on pending works, rectification activities, and snag closures. Escalate performance or execution-related issues to the Project Head / Project Manager when required.

6. Site Coordination & Issue Resolution

Coordinate with related departments to ensure smooth execution of finishing activities. Identify site-level constraints and issues affecting finishing works. Coordinate with concerned departments for timely resolution of issues. Ensure proper communication of drawing, material, and execution-related clarifications to the concerned teams. Follow up on pending issues until satisfactory resolution and closure.

7. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

Monitor daily progress of finishing activities against planned targets. Provide regular updates on work progress, manpower deployment, pending works, and site issues. Highlight delays, constraints, quality concerns, and resource requirements to the Project Head / Project Manager. Support the project team in achieving finishing milestones and planned completion dates. Maintain necessary records related to finishing activities and site progress

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Strong practical knowledge of tile and granite works. Good knowledge of paint and putty works. Good knowledge of door and window installation. Good understanding of residential finishing execution.
