Job summary

Mexmon Global Developers in Punjab, India is seeking an experienced Finishing Engineer to supervise and manage interior and exterior finishing works on real estate projects. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specs, quality standards, timelines, and safety requirements across plastering, flooring, painting, waterproofing, and facade works.

Qualifications

• MS Office; AutoCAD and project-management software will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily finishing activities at the construction site.
• Review drawings and interpret architectural, structural, interior, and MEP drawings before execution.
• Ensure all finishing works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with civil, MEP, architectural, design, and quality-control teams to prevent work clashes and delays.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, labor teams, and finishing vendors.
• Check the quality and suitability of materials delivered to the site.
• Prepare and maintain daily and weekly progress reports.
• Track the finishing schedule and ensure work is completed within approved timelines.
• Conduct inspections of completed and ongoing works.
• Identify defects, prepare snag lists, and coordinate rectification and de-snagging.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Finishing Engineer to supervise and manage all interior and exterior finishing activities at our real estate construction projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring that finishing work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project timelines, and safety requirements.

The Finishing Engineer will coordinate with contractors, architects, consultants, vendors, MEP teams, and internal project departments to ensure timely and defect-free project completion. Typical responsibilities include supervising plastering, flooring, tiling, painting, waterproofing, false ceilings, doors, windows, joinery, faade, and other finishing works.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily finishing activities at the construction site.
• Review and interpret architectural, structural, interior, and MEP drawings before execution.
• Ensure all finishing works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
• Monitor activities such as:
  • Plastering and putty work.
  • Flooring, tiling, marble, and granite installation.
  • Internal and external painting.
  • Waterproofing and sealant works.
  • False ceiling, gypsum, and partition works.
  • Doors, windows, aluminum, glazing, and railing works.
  • Carpentry, joinery, kitchen, wardrobes, and other interior works.
  • Faade and external development works.
• Coordinate with civil, MEP, architectural, design, and quality-control teams to prevent work clashes and delays.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, labor teams, and finishing vendors.
• Check the quality and suitability of materials delivered to the site.
• Raise material requirements and coordinate with the procurement and stores departments.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
• Prepare and maintain daily and weekly progress reports.
• Track the finishing schedule and ensure work is completed within approved timelines.
• Conduct inspections of completed and ongoing works.
• Identify defects, prepare snag lists, and coordinate rectification and de-snagging.
• Ensure proper protection of completed work from damage by subsequent activities.
• Coordinate with consultants and project managers for inspections and approvals.
• Verify measurements and assist in checking contractor bills and work quantities.
• Support BOQ verification, cost monitoring, and variation assessment for finishing activities.
• Maintain records of inspections, approvals, test reports, material submittals, and site instructions.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and site regulations.
• Assist in final inspection, unit readiness, possession, and project handover activities.
• Resolve site-level technical issues and report major concerns to the Project Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in residential, commercial, or real estate construction projects.
• Good knowledge of finishing materials, construction methods, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Experience in site supervision, contractor coordination, snagging, and de-snagging.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and project-management software will be an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and interior drawings.
• Knowledge of Indian construction practices and safety requirements.

Experience

• Finishing Engineer: 3–6 years of relevant experience in any Real Estate or Construction Company
