Job summary

Shapoorji Pallonji Group in India seeks a seasoned Finishing Works Manager to lead execution of plastering, tiling, painting, waterproofing, façade work, and joinery on large residential towers. You will supervise teams, coordinate with architects and subcontractors, and ensure high-quality finishes align with drawings and standards.

With 10–15+ years in finishing works, you will drive schedules, budget adherence, and timely handover, while maintaining safety and compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent in construction.
• 10 to 15+ years of experience in finishing works management.
• Strong knowledge of finishing materials and installation methods (tiles, stone, marble, gypsum, painting, waterproofing, facade, joinery).

Responsibilities

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, monitor, and execute all finishing activities for residential towers, including plastering, flooring, tiling, painting, waterproofing, false ceilings, joinery, glazing, faade finishes, and external development works.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, MEP teams, subcontractors, and site supervisors to ensure smooth execution and interface management.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, method statements, and material submittals before execution.
• Prepare detailed work schedules and monitor progress to achieve project milestones and handover targets.
• Ensure all finishing works are executed as per approved quality standards, project specifications, and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and rectify defects or non-conformities.
• Manage finishing subcontractors, monitor productivity, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
• Coordinate material planning, procurement requirements, and delivery schedules to avoid work disruptions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and update management on project status.
• Monitor snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning coordination, and final handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and statutory regulations at site.
• Participate in project meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Review and certify subcontractor work progress and assist in quantity verification and billing activities.
• Drive timely closure of consultant comments, quality observations, and customer-facing defects.
• Support project completion, occupancy approvals, and final handover of residential units and common areas.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:
