Qualifications

Role & responsibilities

• Manage the complete finance and accounting operations of the organization.
• Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, cash-flow statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
• Monitor project-wise budgets, expenses, costs, margins, profitability, and financial performance.
• Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, working capital, and banking operations.
• Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, taxation, statutory requirements, audits, and regulatory filings.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasts, and project cost estimates.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for effective business and investment decisions.
• Implement effective cost-control measures, internal financial controls, and accounting processes.
• Monitor project expenses against approved budgets and identify cost overruns or financial risks.
• Coordinate with project, procurement, HR, and operations teams on financial and commercial matters.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, consultants, vendors, and other financial stakeholders.
• Review accounting transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor the finance and accounts team.
• Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and process gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Support management in business planning, financial strategy, profitability improvement, and organizational growth.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of financial records and documentation.
• Drive process improvements and introduce efficient financial reporting and control systems.
• Ensure all financial activities are completed accurately and within defined deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in B.Com, M.Com, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Candidates with an MBA in Finance, CA, CMA/ICWA, or equivalent professional qualification will be preferred.
• Experience in landscaping, horticulture, construction, infrastructure, real estate, or other project-based industries will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Tally/ERP systems, MS Excel, MIS reporting, and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of project costing, expense monitoring, cost control, cash-flow management, and profitability analysis.
• Ability to independently manage day-to-day finance and accounts operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good leadership and team-management skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, auditors, banks, and management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple financial activities efficiently.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and accountability.
