Job summary

AP Management Consultants is seeking a senior finance professional to own accounting, statutory compliance, budgeting and MIS for a manufacturing setup. The role requires leading book-keeping, closing processes, financial statement preparation and management reporting.

The ideal candidate has CA/CMA/MBA (Finance) or M.Com with 5+ years in finance & accounts, strong GST/TDS/tax knowledge, ERP experience (Tally/SAP) and advanced MS Excel.

Qualifications

• CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or M.Com degree required; CA/CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounts, manufacturing background essential.
• Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, statutory compliance and audits.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting function with accurate book-keeping, ledger control and month/year-end closes.
• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements and ensure applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly MIS, variance analysis and dashboards for management.
• GST filings, reconciliations, TDS, income tax and other statutory obligations.
• Coordinate internal and statutory audits; liaise with auditors and authorities.
• Manage banking relationships, cash flow and working capital cycles.
• Monitor debtors, creditors and receivables; drive timely collections and payments.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting; partner with management on financial decisions.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Own the accounting function and ensure accurate, timely book-keeping, ledger control and month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• MIS &management reporting Prepare monthly MIS, variance analysis and dashboards to give management a clear, timely view of financial performance.

Statutory & Tax Compliance

• GST & taxation Ensure timely and accurate GST filings, reconciliations, TDS, income tax and other statutory obligations.
• Manage statutory, internal and tax audits, and liaise with auditors, consultants and authorities.
• Maintain compliance with the Companies Act and other applicable financial and corporate regulations. Banking, Treasury & Working Capital
• Manage banking relationships, cash flow, fund planning and working-capital cycles (receivables, payables, inventory).
• Debtors, creditors & receivables Track debtors and creditors, maintain a clear overview of accounts receivable and ageing, and drive timely collections and payments.
• Oversee credit control, debtor management and vendor payments in line with company policy.
• Coordinate on loans, credit facilities, and banking documentation as required.

Budgeting & Business Partnering

• Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process, and track performance against budget.
• Partner with management on financial planning, capital expenditure evaluation and business decisions.
• Guide, review and develop the accounts team, and strengthen financial processes and controls.

Candidate Profile

• CA / CMA (ICWA) / MBA (Finance) or M.Com; a qualified CA or CMA is preferred.
• 515 years of progressive experience in finance and accounts, with a manufacturing background essential.
• Sound working knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, statutory compliance and audits.
• Proficiency with ERP / accounting systems (e.g. Tally, SAP or similar) and advanced MS Excel.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and command of MIS and management reporting.
• Good communication and leadership skills, with the maturity to partner with top management.
• High integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
