Job summary

Nutrabay is seeking a Finance Data Analyst to drive data-driven decision making across D2C and marketplace channels. You will build dashboards, perform margin analysis, and support pricing and promotional decisions with accurate financial insights.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience in unit economics, variance analysis, and working capital considerations, with strong Excel, Power BI/Tableau skills and SQL proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Automate MIS reporting to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.

Job Role: Finance Data Analyst

You should apply if you have:

• A strong analytical mindset with experience in D2C, e-commerce, or FMCG business finance
• Hands-on experience in unit economics, contribution margins, and channel profitability analysis
• Strong attention to detail, especially for margin validation, trade spends, and claims
• Comfort working with large, messy datasets and building dashboards and MIS reports
• A problem-solving, ownership-driven attitude with ability to challenge assumptions and flag financial risks
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, and cross-functional teams

• Require constant supervision and struggle to independently drive tasks end-to-end
• Are unwilling to collaborate across finance, operations, and growth teams
• Avoid detailed reconciliation, variance analysis, or rigorous financial tracking

Skills Required:

Analytical & Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel (financial modelling, scenario analysis, pivot tables)
• Power BI / Tableau for dashboarding and visualisation
• Working knowledge of SQL (preferred)
• Familiarity with tools like Vinculum, ERP, and marketplace dashboards
• Ability to automate MIS reporting and improve data accuracy

Business & Finance Skills

• Strong understanding of unit economics, gross margin, and contribution margin
• Experience in variance analysis (Actual vs AOP/Budget)
• Knowledge of working capital, inventory planning, and trade spend management
• Ability to evaluate customer returns, damages, and write-offs and their financial impact
• Understanding of pricing strategy and promotional analysis

What will you do?

Analyse Channel-Wise Performance

• Track and analyse performance across D2C website, marketplaces and quick commerce.
• Track gross margin, contribution margin, and unit economics at SKU and channel level
• Monitor and validate trade spends, discounts, and platform margins

Variance Analysis & Financial Reporting

• Perform detailed variance analysis (Actual vs AOP/Budget) and highlight key business drivers
• Build and maintain weekly/monthly business performance MIS
• Automate MIS reporting to improve data accuracy and reduce manual effort

Margin Leakage & Cost Optimisation

• Identify leakages in margins (e.g., incorrect margins, claims, or pricing errors)
• Evaluate customer returns, damages, and write-offs and their financial impact
• Provide actionable insights for cost optimisation

Working Capital & Inventory Planning

• Work closely with Supply Chain and Sales teams on inventory planning and working capital optimisation
• Track inventory turnover, ageing, and return rates

Dashboards & Pricing Support

• Build dashboards for daily/weekly sales tracking and profitability insights
• Support pricing decisions and promotional strategies through data analysis
• Provide forecasting and demand planning support

Work Experience:

3–6 years in D2C, e-commerce, FMCG, or startup environment in business finance or analytics roles

Monday – Friday

2 Days - Golf Course Road, Gurugram, Haryana (Work from Office) and 3 Days - Okhla Delhi
