Job summary

CTSNET INDIA PTE LTD is seeking a Field Technician for a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. You will install, configure and maintain servers, network devices and related hardware in data centers and client locations, and perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

You will troubleshoot hardware and network issues, execute break/fix activities, assist with upgrades and basic data recovery, and document all work while collaborating with remote support teams and communicating

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are an advantage.
• Strong understanding of server and network hardware; ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot.
• Hands-on data center experience with remote hands services, break/fix and upgrades.
• Good communication and organizational skills; able to work on-site in data centers.
• Prior field technician or data center technician experience preferred.

Role Description

The Field Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for providing hands-on technical support in data centers and customer locations. Daily tasks include installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, network devices, and related hardware, as well as performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving hardware and network issues, executing break/fix activities, and supporting upgrades and replacements of equipment. The Field Technician will also assist with basic data recovery tasks, follow cybersecurity and safety guidelines, and document all work performed in accordance with company procedures. Collaboration with remote support teams and clear communication with clients are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of server and network hardware, including routers, switches, and cabling, and the ability to perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with data center operations, remote hands services, break/fix support, and equipment upgrades.
• Basic knowledge of data recovery processes, backup practices, and cybersecurity principles relevant to on-site technical work.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and follow technical documentation to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and coordinate with internal teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with working on-site in data center environments, including adherence to safety, security, and access protocols.
• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field; relevant industry certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a field technician, data center technician, or similar role is preferred.
