Job summary

Cynosure Corporate Solutions is seeking an on-site IT Support Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain laptops and desktops for clients across IT/ITES and manufacturing in the Ambattur Estate area. The role requires hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting and strong customer service.

Travel to client sites, install OS and applications, and document work performed. Diploma/BSc in CS/IT preferred; Windows expertise and a proactive, team-oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or IT preferred.
• Knowledge of Laptop/Desktop Repair is essential.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver\'s license is a plus.
• A+ Certification or equivalent experience desirable.
• Reliability and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support to clients, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues on laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows) and applications.
• Perform hardware repairs and replacements on laptops and desktops.
• Troubleshoot networking issues (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Install and configure printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including diagnoses, solutions, and time spent on each task.
• Ensure timely and effective communication with clients regarding the status of their issues.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Follow established procedures and protocols for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Travel to client locations within the Ambattur Estate area.

Job Description

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  
• Knowledge of Laptop/Desktop Installation & Repair - a must!
  
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
  
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
  
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems effectively.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
