Overview
Field Service Engineer LCMS at Agilent Technologies — Provides technical and application services & support to external customers and Agilent customer engineers. This includes reactive and pro-active actions that result in timely and cost-effective problem resolution with the objective to meet contractual agreements. May support third party products and occasionally visit customer sites. Acts as part of CSO Field Service staff; serves as an internal resource on technical issues and manages product escalations. Collaborates with Agilent teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide solutions to customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical & application support for Agilent analytical instruments to existing & new customers located at central locations (Hyderabad and Vizag).
- Perform installations, preventive maintenance, repair, and software & hardware IQ/OQ on Agilent products.
- Lead projects requiring coordination with other functions & customers.
- Deliver customer education courses on-site as well as at COE labs.
- Deploy application methods that are cost- and time-effective on Agilent instruments.
- Promptly troubleshoot method/technology transfer issues between instruments.
- Respond to customer queries promptly and help resolve escalations.
- Train internal & external teams and provide ongoing technical support.
- Participate in programs to stimulate demand for Agilent products/services and ensure timely and proper execution.
- Hold product seminars for customers, prospects, and employees.
- Coordinate internally with the field sales team and Managers to ensure key customers are satisfied.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Qualifications
- Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Technology/Electronics & Communications/Instrumentation or equivalent.
- Relevant 4-7 years of professional, hands-on knowledge of analytical instruments (e.g., Waters HPLC with Empower Software, LCMS/MS, LCQTOF, LCMS) including exposure to Biopharma applications.
- Excellent numerical, verbal, and written communication skills, along with good organizational & negotiation skills.
