Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support ELV and security systems including Access Control, CCTV, FAS, and BMS.

The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and timely client support. Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, testing, preventive maintenance, server/workstation configuration, system upgrades, and generating service reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years hands-on experience in Access Control, FAS, CCTV, Servers, and BMS.
• Good knowledge of networking concepts including IP addressing, switches, and routers.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts; strong customer handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of Access Control, CCTV, FAS, and BMS systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in security and automation systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per service schedules.
• Configure and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and system software for security platforms.
• Monitor system performance and ensure maximum uptime for client installations.
• Coordinate with customers to understand service requirements and provide timely resolutions.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Support system upgrades, expansions, and migration activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and training to end users when required.
