Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a technically skilled and field-oriented *ELV Engineer* with MINIMUM 1 years of experience in *EPABX, CCTV, Biometric/Access Control and related ELV systems*.
The candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of ELV systems at customer/project sites.
EPABX / IP-PBX
- Installation, configuration and commissioning of *EPABX / IP-PBX systems*.
- Configure *Analog, Digital and IP extensions*.
- Configure SIP trunks, PRI/FXO/FXS interfaces as applicable.
- Troubleshoot extension, trunk, calling and connectivity issues.
- Configure IP Phones and basic VoIP systems.
- Perform testing of incoming/outgoing calls and extensions.
- Coordinate with OEM/vendor teams for technical support.
- Maintain EPABX configuration and documentation.
CCTV / Surveillance
- Installation and commissioning of *IP and Analog CCTV systems*.
- Configure *IP cameras, NVR/DVR, VMS, PoE switches and storage*.
- Configure camera IP addresses and basic network connectivity.
- Camera focusing, positioning and image-quality checking.
- Configure recording, playback, motion detection and basic camera parameters.
- Troubleshoot camera, NVR, network and recording-related issues.
- Experience with *Dome, Bullet, PTZ and ANPR cameras* will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of CCTV storage/HDD calculation.
- Conduct CCTV testing and prepare commissioning reports.
Biometric / Access Control
- Installation and configuration of *Biometric Attendance and Access Control systems*.
- Configure fingerprint, face-recognition and RFID/card-based devices.
- Installation and configuration of *door controllers, readers, exit buttons, locks and sensors*.
- Configure users, access levels, attendance rules and basic software settings.
- Troubleshoot communication between controllers, biometric devices and servers.
- Test door locking/unlocking, access permissions and attendance functionality.
- Coordinate with customer/HR/admin teams for user enrollment and system setup.
ELV / Networking Support
- Basic knowledge of *LAN, TCP/IP, IP addressing and subnetting*.
- Configure basic network connectivity for CCTV, EPABX and biometric systems.
- Basic knowledge of *managed/PoE switches, VLAN and DHCP*.
- Termination and testing of *Cat6 and fiber optic cables* will be an advantage.
- Ability to understand *ELV drawings, layouts, BOQs and rack diagrams*.
- Installation of racks, patch panels, cable dressing and labeling.
- Conduct site surveys and identify installation requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, customers, vendors and OEM engineers.
Site Responsibilities
- Visit project sites for installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with technicians and subcontractors during execution.
- Ensure work is completed as per approved drawings and BOQ.
- Prepare *daily site reports, installation reports, testing reports and handover documents*.
- Maintain proper equipment, cable and device labeling.
- Attend customer complaints and AMC/service requirements.
- Willingness to travel to different project locations as required.
Preferred candidate profile
- Basic knowledge of *CCTV, EPABX/IP-PBX and Biometric/Access Control systems*.
- Good understanding of *TCP/IP networking*.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Good knowledge of computer hardware and Windows operating systems.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently at project sites.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in *Electronics, IT, Computer, Electrical, Networking or related field*.
- CCNA or relevant technical certification will be an added advantage.
Candidate Profile
- *1 year of relevant experience* in ELV / CCTV / EPABX / Biometric / Access Control.
- Field/project experience preferred.
- Should be comfortable working at customer sites.
- Should have good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Should be willing to travel for project and service requirements.
