Job summary

Freecharge is seeking a Field KYC & Merchant Onboarding Executive in Bangalore to visit merchants, collect and validate KYC documents, and assist the Sales team with onboarding.

The role requires understanding of KYC and merchant documentation, with fintech/digital payments exposure preferred. Field visits and daily travel are expected, with strong communication skills in Kannada, Hindi and English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in KYC or merchant onboarding or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of KYC and merchant documentation.
• Experience in fintech/digital payments preferred.
• Willing to travel for field visits.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and mobile apps for onboarding status.
• Kannada, Hindi and English communication preferred.

• Collect, verify, and submit merchant KYC and business documents as required.
• Support the Sales team in completing the merchant onboarding process.
• Coordinate with merchants for pending, incorrect, or additional documentation.

• Coordinate with internal KYC, Operations, and Sales teams for onboarding.
• Travel across assigned locations in Bangalore as needed.

About the Role

We are looking for a Field KYC & Merchant Onboarding Executive who will be responsible for visiting merchants, collecting and validating KYC documents, and supporting the Sales team in completing the merchant onboarding process.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of KYC and merchant documentation. Prior experience in digital payments or fintech will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit merchant locations for KYC and document collection.
• Collect, verify, and submit merchant KYC and business documents as per requirements.
• Support the Sales team in completing the merchant onboarding process.
• Coordinate with merchants for pending, incorrect, or additional documentation.
• Ensure KYC documentation is accurate and complete before submission.
• Maintain proper records of merchant visits and documentation status.
• Coordinate with internal KYC, Operations, and Sales teams for smooth onboarding.
• Travel across assigned locations in Bangalore based on business requirements.
• Handle merchant queries related to documentation and onboarding.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in KYC, merchant onboarding, field operations, document verification, or similar roles.
• Good understanding of KYC and merchant/business documentation is mandatory.
• Prior experience in fintech, digital payments, banking, NBFC, POS, QR, or merchant onboarding is preferred.
• Comfortable with field visits and daily travel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with merchants and Sales teams.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel/mobile applications for updating onboarding status.
• Knowledge of digital payments/payment gateways is good to have, but not mandatory.
• Candidates comfortable communicating in Kannada, Hindi, and English will be preferred.
