Job summary

CAPE electric pvt ltd in Cheyyar SIPCOT manufacturing plant seeks a Factory/Plant Manager to lead operations, safety, quality, and production performance.

You will oversee continuous copper electroplating processes, maintenance, EHS, and cost control, driving OEE and on-time delivery through strong leadership and hands-on problem solving.

The candidate should have 10–15 years in chemical/mechanical/production processes and a BE/BTech and proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of operations experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in copper electroplating or surface treatment preferred.
• BE/BTech or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve daily/monthly production targets with optimum resources.
• Control plating line speed, chemistry, temperature, and coating thickness.
• Ensure coating quality, reduce rework and waste.
• Drive maintenance, preventive maintenance and quick repairs.
• Ensure ETP/ZLD operations and environmental compliance.
• Ensure safety protocols and PPE compliance.
• Coordinate PPC, Sales, Stores, QC for on-time supply.
• Monitor costs, energy and water consumption; report MIS metrics.

Job description

Position : Factory Manager / Plant Manager Location : Cheyyar- SIPCOT / Manufacturing Plant Department : Operations Reporting To : Operations Head Experience : 10–15 Years Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. – Chemical / Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy or equivalent

Job Purpose

Overall responsibility for safe, efficient and profitable operation of the continuous copper electroplating factory, covering production, process control, quality, maintenance, EHS, ETP/ZLD and customer supply.

Major Responsibilities

• Production: Achieve daily/monthly production targets with optimum utilization of manpower, machines and resources.
• Electroplating Process: Control plating line speed, rectifier current/voltage, bath chemistry, temperature, filtration, anodes/contacts and coating thickness.
• Quality: Ensure coating thickness, adhesion, surface finish and other customer specifications are consistently achieved; control rejection and rework.
• Process Improvement: Improve line productivity, yield, OEE and process stability; reduce downtime and chemical/metal losses.
• Maintenance: Ensure preventive maintenance and quick resolution of mechanical, electrical, rectifier, pump and utility breakdowns.
• ETP/ZLD & Environment: Ensure effective operation of ETP/ZLD, water management, chemical wastewater treatment and compliance with applicable environmental requirements.
• Safety: Ensure safe handling/storage of acids, alkalis, cyanide-related and other hazardous chemicals; maintain PPE, emergency preparedness and statutory safety requirements.
• Manpower: Manage shift manpower, operator training, discipline, productivity and skill development.
• PPC & Customer Supply: Coordinate with PPC, Sales, Stores, QC and Dispatch to achieve on-time customer supply.
• Cost Control: Monitor copper/chemical consumption, power, water, manpower, maintenance and overall conversion cost.
• MIS: Review production, quality, downtime, consumption, ETP, safety and delivery performance and report to management.

Candidate Profile

The candidate should have strong factory leadership and practical process knowledge, preferably with experience in continuous copper electroplating / surface treatment, chemical process operations, ETP/ZLD and high-current rectifier systems.

Strong people management, troubleshooting, decision-making, customer supply coordination and continuous improvement skills are essential.
