Skillventory in Jamnagar seeks an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems in electroplating and manufacturing processes. The role requires BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 3–6 years of relevant experience, hands-on rectifiers, distribution, and drives knowledge, and PLC basics.

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-6 years of electrical maintenance experience in Electroplating, Surface Finishing, Chemical, Automotive Components, Metal Treatment, or Manufacturing industries.
  • Hands-on plating rectifiers, power distribution systems, motors, drives, and industrial utilities.
  • Strong knowledge of LT electrical systems, MCC, PCC, APFC panels, motors, VFDs, and soft starters.
  • Experience in DG sets, UPS systems, battery banks, and electrical utilities.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of energy management and power consumption optimization.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC and automation systems.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
  • Electrical Supervisor License preferred.
  • Certifications in Electrical Safety, Energy Management, or Automation are a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, teamwork, ownership, and accountability skills.
  • Safety-first with continuous improvement mindset.
  • Candidates from Electroplating, Surface Treatment, Automotive Components, Metal Finishing, Specialty Chemicals, Engineering Manufacturing, or Industrial Process Plants preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Maintain LT panels, transformers, MCCs, PCCs, APFC panels, switchgear, and power distribution systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimize downtime of production equipment.
  • Monitor loads and optimize power consumption.
  • Maintain plating rectifiers, DC power supplies, busbars, and related systems.
  • Ensure proper operation of electroplating lines, hoists, conveyors, pumps, and process equipment.
  • Monitor rectifier performance and plating current parameters for product quality.
  • Coordinate with Production and Process teams for smooth plating-line operation.
  • Maintain DG sets, UPS, battery banks, HVAC, and water treatment systems.
  • Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical equipment.
  • Participate in installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
  • Prepare technical specs, BOQs, and support vendor evaluations.
  • Drive automation, reliability, and energy conservation projects.
  • Support capacity expansion and modernization initiatives.
  • Ensure electrical safety standards and statutory compliance.
  • Implement LOTO procedures and safe work practices.
  • Maintain maintenance records, SOPs, drawings, SLDs, and schedules.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.

  • B.E./B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-6 years of experience in electrical maintenance within Electroplating, Surface Finishing, Chemical, Automotive Components, Metal Treatment, or Manufacturing industries.
