RSM Design Solutions in Mumbai is seeking a motivated Faade Site Engineer to supervise facade installation and site execution across Mumbai, Pune, and South India. The role involves coordinating with contractors, architects, and sub-contractors to ensure safety and quality on active construction sites.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of hands-on experience in building envelope or glazing installation, with proficiency in reading complex shop drawings and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Ability to read complex shop drawings, structural layouts, and fixing details.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Fabrication / Installation Supervision: oversee fixing of brackets, anchors, glass panels and cladding on site.
• Quality Control: verify alignment, levels, plumb and weatherproofing sealants.
• Drawing Verification: ensure site work matches approved shop drawings and specs.
• Coordination: work with main contractors, architects and sub-contractors to resolve technical snags.
• Safety Enforcement: ensure safe site practices, especially at heights.
• Documentation: prepare Site Inspection Reports.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and technically sound Faade Site Engineer to supervise faade installation and site execution activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that faade works are executed safely, accurately, and in accordance with approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.

The role will be based in Mumbai and may require regular travel to project sites across Pune and South India.

Key Responsibilities of Faade Site Engineer

• Fabrication / Installation Supervision: Oversee the fixing of brackets, anchors, glass panels, and cladding materials on site.
• Quality Control: Check alignment, levels, plumb, and proper application of weatherproofing sealants.
• Drawing Verification: Match site execution strictly with approved shop drawings and technical specifications.
• Coordination: Work alongside main contractors, architects, and sub-contractors to resolve technical snags.
• Safety Enforcement: Ensure workers follow strict site safety standards, especially when working at heights.
• Documentation: Preparation of Site Inspection Reports

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in building envelope or glazing installation.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read complex shop drawings, structural layouts, and fixing details.
• Knowledge of Autocad is Must and MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, contractor management, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with unitized/stick curtain wall, structural glazing, aluminium composite panels, aluminium windows, louvers, or stone/cladding systems will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of faade testing, waterproofing, sealant application, and quality inspection procedures is preferred.
• Candidates who are comfortable working at active construction sites and travelling between project locations will be preferred.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, technically oriented, disciplined, and willing to work at project sites. The candidate must be comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders and travelling as required for project execution.
