Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Surat, India, is seeking a fabrication shop planning professional to oversee monthly plan execution and monitor progress using PDCA. The role focuses on optimizing resources, ensuring timely handovers to machine and assembly shops and achieving quality targets.

You will also develop shop apprentices in basic skills, advance fabrication processes, and drive EHS compliance, 5S, and SPI safety improvements across the shop floor and office.

Qualifications

• Preparation and execution of Fabrication shop monthly plan.
• Monitor work progress by PDCA method and finalize handover dates to machine shop/assembly shop.
• Measure and record LE & OE and TQM parameters and plan to achieve the parameters.
• Ensure availability of shop resources: tooling, fixtures, measurement instruments, machines.

Responsibilities

• To ensure effective IMS management systems implementation.
• Develop apprentices in basic shop skills like grinding, fit up, welding.
• Develop skills in fabrication process: Drawing understanding, welding, PWHT.
• Achieve the EHS objective by controlling unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and periodic reviews of HIRA.
• Enhance 5S score and SPI- Safety Performance Index at shop floor & office.

• To ensure no waiting time by availability of shop resources: tooling, fixtures, measurement instruments, machines

• Doing the Skill development in fabrication process: Drawing understanding, welding, PWHT
• To achieve the EHS objective by controlling unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and periodic reviews of HIRA.

Achieving the target of Safety by enhancing 5S score and SPI- Safety Performance Index at shop floor & office.
