Job summary

Artasia in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is seeking an experienced Fabric Sourcing & Store Executive for our Upholstery Furniture division. The candidate will manage fabric sourcing, vendor coordination, dyeing and printing coordination, fabric quality checks, and inventory control.

You will coordinate with Purchase, Production, Design and Planning teams, monitor stock levels, ensure proper storage and documentation, and oversee day-to-day fabric store operations to support timely production.

Qualifications

• 25 years of experience in fabric sourcing and store operations.
• Experience in upholstery fabrics, dyeing, printing, and color matching workflows.
• Strong vendor development and procurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure upholstery fabrics as per product, design and production requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with fabric suppliers, mills, dyeing and printing vendors.
• Coordinate for fabric samples, swatches, colour matching, dyeing and printing.
• Follow up with vendors for fabric development, production and timely delivery.
• Coordinate shade matching, lab dips, strike-offs and bulk dyeing/printing.
• Check incoming fabric for quality, colour, width, texture, GSM, construction and defects.
• Maintain records of fabric samples, suppliers, rates and purchase details.
• Manage day-to-day fabric store operations, including inward/outward, issue and stock records.
• Maintain inventory and conduct regular stock verification.
• Ensure proper storage and identification of fabrics by quality, colour, design, lot and supplier.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Design, Planning and Upholstery teams.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Fabric Sourcing & Store Executive for our Upholstery Furniture division. The candidate will be responsible for fabric sourcing, vendor coordination, dyeing & printing coordination, fabric quality checking, inventory management and store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure upholstery fabrics as per product, design and production requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with fabric suppliers, traders, mills, dyeing and printing vendors.
• Coordinate for fabric samples, swatches, colour matching, dyeing and printing.
• Follow up with vendors for fabric development, production and timely delivery.
• Coordinate shade matching, lab dips, strike-offs and bulk dyeing/printing.
• Check incoming fabric for quality, colour, width, texture, GSM, construction and defects.
• Maintain proper records of fabric samples, suppliers, rates and purchase details.
• Manage day-to-day fabric store operations, including material inward, outward, issue and stock records.
• Maintain accurate inventory of fabrics and conduct regular physical stock verification.
• Ensure proper storage and identification of fabrics based on quality, colour, design, lot and supplier.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Design, Planning and Upholstery teams for fabric requirements.
• Monitor minimum stock levels and ensure timely replenishment as per production requirements.
• Identify excess, slow-moving, damaged and rejected fabric and coordinate necessary action.
• Negotiate with vendors regarding price, quality, delivery and development timelines.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Upholstery Fabrics and Furniture Manufacturing.
• Experience in Fabric Sourcing & Procurement.
• Practical knowledge of Dyeing, Printing and Colour Matching.
• Knowledge of fabric quality inspection and common fabric defects.
• Experience in Fabric Store & Inventory Management.
• Good vendor development, negotiation and follow-up skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple fabric requirements and suppliers simultaneously.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in Furniture, Upholstery, Home Furnishing, Textile or Fabric Manufacturing will be preferred.

Experience with Jaipur textile and fabric suppliers, dyeing and printing units will be an added advantage.
